Thessaloniki

The city of Thessaloniki is the second largest city in Greece after Athens. The city was founded in 315 BC by King Cassander and was named Thessaloniki after his wife, the daughter of King Philip II of Macedonia and the half-sister of Alexander the Great.

The White Tower, the Arch of Galerius (aka. Kamara), Rotunda, the Church of Saint Dimitri, the temple of Agia Sofia, Aristotle Square, Kastra (i.e. the upper part of the city – Ano-Poli), the archaeological and Byzantine museum – these are just a few of the sites and monuments which are worth seeing when visiting Thessaloniki…

In order to see the city with a certified English-speaking guide, you can chose from between a classic city-tour, an enriched tour, a thematic tour, or a “made-to-measure” tour, tailored to your personal interests. All you need to do is choose a date and contact me to reserve your holiday!
